1202nd House Concert, Kang Tae-hwan & Gestalt Kim

[PROGRAM] Wavescape - Session 2 The 1,202nd House Concert features a free music live performance by saxophonist Kang Tae-hwan and electronic musician Gestalt Kim. Though the two artists' genres, formats, and modes of expression differ completely, their artistic spirits—endlessly exploring and challenging new horizons—are directed toward the same point, whether high or deep. This is why, more than 30 years since their initial meeting in the early 1990s, they have maintained a unique spiritual exchange based on mutual respect and affection that transcends generations and genres. "Wavescape - Session 2," presented at this house concert, is their fifth collaborative improvisation in total. It stems from their first session in April 2026 at Seoul's Sammuseum, where the unfamiliar encounter between free music saxophone and spontaneous electronic music revealed new musical alchemy and the possibilities of unexplored soundscapes. We invite you to witness the landscape of waves that unfolds as Kang Tae-hwan's distinctive free music saxophone and Gestalt Kim's constantly mutating and proliferating spontaneous electronic music collide and dissolve into one another. "A sonic landscape woven by the unstoppable vital breath of humanity and the multiplying pulse of electronics" ※The program may be subject to change at the performers' discretion.
