About

[ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE] Ad Musica, founded in 2020, means "Back to Music" and is a professional ensemble of young musicians garnering attention both domestically and internationally, centered around violinist Professor Kim Hyun-mi (Korean National University of the Arts). The ensemble is equipped with a wide repertoire encompassing both artistic merit and popular appeal. Since its founding performance in 2020, Ad Musica has continued to engage audiences with diverse themes and profound music. In 2021, the ensemble undertook a complete violin sonata recording project commemorating the 230th anniversary of Mozart's death, was selected for the Arts Council Korea's "Art Change Up" program, and held the chamber music festival spanning both online and offline formats. In 2022, the ensemble hosted three concerts centered on the works of composers Brahms and Schubert, including performances at the Seoul Arts Center. Among these, was broadcast on EBS's performance review program . In 2023 with "Memories of a Great Artist I & II" and in 2024 with the project "Metamorphosen (Transformation)," a series of three concerts was consecutively selected for the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's Artistic Creation Activity Support Program. Through regular and specially planned performances held at least twice yearly, Ad Musica continues its distinctive creative attempts and innovative interpretations unique to chamber music, moving forward with their own path "Back to Music" through profound melodies rooted in tradition.
