2nd Multidisciplinary Arts Group Mute Performance: Songs of the Seasons

[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION] Lee Hyung-gi's "Falling Blossoms," Ki Hyong-do's "Empty House," poems by Na Tae-ju, Lee Hae-in, and Jung Ho-seung, and poems by Yi Sang-hwa. Poems you may have heard before or encountered somewhere are reborn as new music. The seasons serve as a temporal framework that weaves these musical pieces together. However, just as each person recalls different landscapes while passing through the same season, six composers, while facing the same season, each paint their own landscape and express their emotions in their own musical language. Within a single season, different times and feelings flow, and the music of six composers colors that season in different hues. At the beginning of each season, a small piano piece is placed to open the door to the next season. The soprano and baritone then continue the story within, singing. You may not yet be familiar with the names of the composers and performers you will meet in this performance, but there's no need for the starting point of encountering music to feel unfamiliar. Beginning with familiar poems and discovering music you have yet to encounter— This is the experience that wishes to share. [PROGRAM] 1.
