40th Gimcheon City Choir Regular Concert: Kyo-seong-gok Gimcheon & Musical WOW

[PROGRAM] 1. Choral Symphony [Gimcheon] A lyrical yet grandiose choral symphony in which a choir and orchestra collaborate beautifully to express the dynamic history of Gimcheon. The title 'Gimcheon' is set with the concept of "a city of a golden flowing river," derived from the etymology of Gimcheon, depicting various aspects of nature, past memories, present love, and the city's vigorous march toward the future, overcoming hardships and difficulties. 2. Musical [WOW!] A story of Do-hee in her twenties, set against the backdrop of a municipal choir, who challenges herself in auditions while caught between her dream of studying abroad and her current reality, grows with new hope after experiencing times of conflict, relationships, and solidarity within the choir. This is a memory-play style musical from the perspective of Do-hee in her forties looking back at her younger self. 'WOW!' is a hopeful expression of encouragement, and the final song becomes a moment of joy shared between all cast members and the audience singing together.
