These musical pieces that transcend hundreds of years will guide Claude's audience into a new world of jazz, like a deep meditation and passionate improvisation! 😍 🎤 Jazz vocalist Betty Hwang is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in the United States and is a versatile vocalist who freely navigates contemporary jazz and Brazilian contemporary music. Through collaborations with world-class musicians including Michael Mayo, Kurt Elling, Luciana Souza, and John Patitucci, she has built her own musical universe and delivers profound emotion through her clear, warm tone and delicate expressiveness. 🎹 Pianist Cho Yoon Seung is a world-renowned artist representing Korean jazz. He was the first Asian selected as a full scholarship recipient to the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz and has been actively performing across the United States and Europe. As an outstanding performer, composer, and arranger, he will showcase his original works at this performance, delivering the essence of musical imagination. 🎸🪕 Guitarist and banjo player Kim Sungwon is a world-class performer who is the first East Asian to perform in Broadway musicals including Hamilton, Wicked, Frozen, and Kinky Boots in New York. He has built an international reputation performing in the Jimmy Page Tribute Concert and sharing the stage with John Patitucci, Dave Liebman, and others. On this stage, he will deliver a distinctive sound by seamlessly switching between guitar and banjo. This performance is structured around Baroque music and Cho Yoon Seung's original compositions. Classical works are reborn in the language of modern jazz, while contemporary creations meet the spirit of the Baroque, creating new narratives.
