[SYNOPSIS]
In an office, Scrooge and Bob are working while shivering in the cold. Just then, Scrooge's nephew Fred bursts in cheerfully shouting "Merry Christmas!" Watching Fred, who has no money yet finds joy like a child, Scrooge regards him with contempt. After Fred leaves, two gentlemen carrying documents enter and ask Scrooge for a donation. However, Scrooge ignores them and instead angrily drives them away. Night falls, and Scrooge counts his money and prepares for bed. Suddenly, the ghost of Marley, bound entirely in chains, appears and tells him that three spirits will visit him tonight, then vanishes. Soon the Ghost of Christmas Past appears and takes Scrooge back to his childhood. Scrooge regrets how coldly he treated people as he witnesses his warm childhood memories. Next, the Ghosts of Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come appear in turn, showing him his nephew's warm and loving household and the tombstone erected after Scrooge's death...
