[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
Describing Ben Klock requires no flowery words.
As one of the most influential figures in contemporary techno, he stands at the heart of Berlin's underground. Since 2005, he has served as a core resident of the legendary Berghain, and is recognized as someone who has shaped the club's sound, atmosphere, and the aesthetic of restraint inherent in techno.
He is renowned not simply as a DJ performing on stage, but as an artist with the ability to create the space itself. He is also characterized by marathon sets, which reveal the precision of the musical structure he implements through his sets and the flow that encompasses them. Today's set, too, builds an intricate narrative atop tension and release, restrained rhythm.
His works are symbolic in the history of Ostgut Ton. "Dawning," a collaboration with Marcel Dettmann, was the label's first single and is called the starting point of the Berlin sound. His debut album One continues to be referenced as a benchmark for techno albums.
Additionally, his label Klockworks, established in 2006, has established itself as synonymous with 'pure and refined techno' alongside DVS1 and Fadi Mohem.
In February 2026, at UNDERCITY Seongsu, Ben Klock brings the pure heart of Berlin to Seoul. Through his set of over three hours, beginning early Sunday evening, you will intuitively experience not merely music, but the essence of techno as a culture.
