Concertante: The Breath of Baroque, Virtuosos Speak

[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION] This is a stage that practices "Historically Informed Creation (HIC)," which restores performers as creative subjects rather than mere reproducers of scores. Drawing on Baroque rhetorical thinking that regarded music as a language of emotional persuasion, a composer (harpsichord) and a cellist specializing in Baroque cello have developed "rhetorical virtuosity" through workshops, which will be realized in three new compositions. This world premiere stage bridges the structural clarity of early music with the sonic sensibility of contemporary music, and is a selected project of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's 2026 Artistic Creation Support Program.
