Frozen Time: Resonance in Silence (Tempus Stans: Resonantia in Silentio)

[SYNOPSIS] During my studies abroad in Germany, my wristwatch was still set to Korean time. The reason I didn't change it was because it was the only coordinate that kept me grounded as I continued my life on German soil. Amid unfamiliar language, unfamiliar culture, and unfamiliar people, separate from physical time, the time within me seemed to flow slowly and quietly, as if suspended somewhere. The silence surrounding me and the solitude I encountered within it. When unspoken words and feelings accumulated and overflowed, I quietly looked around at my surroundings. And I began to record those moments. Reflections on frozen time. The inner resonance drawn from that quietude. This project attempts to revive the sensation of suspended time in moments where music and images intersect, following a 'map of light' that illuminates the time that has passed. For everyone, moments of solitude and silence come where time seems to stand still. A story that is deeply personal yet profoundly human. I hope that feelings that cannot be conveyed through words will reach you through certain images, silence, and the sound of piano. I dream that this story, born from my inner world, will resonate within your time as well.
