Hwang Su-yeon Piano Recital

[Performance Introduction] What Remained After Hardship Was, In the End, Love Pianist Hwang Su-yeon Recital "War, despair, hardship… Sad emotions are ultimately a process to witness the light of hope. I wish to walk this journey together with you through the works of Beethoven and Schumann." Pianist Hwang Su-yeon shared these thoughts as she prepares for her recital on September 9th (Wednesday) at 7:30 PM at the Inchun Art Hall, Seoul Arts Center. Known for her impressive interpretations at each recital, pianist Hwang Su-yeon's performance this time will feature Beethoven's 'Fantasia' and 'Tempest' Sonata, as well as Schumann's 'Davidsbündlertänze.' Through the music these two composers left behind during the most tumultuous moments of their lives, she aims to shed light on their inner depths. From the will and imagination that bloomed amid the chaos of war, to the dramatic language that broke through the despair of hearing loss, and finally to the most intimate confession born of a secret love. This program will be an exploration of how different crises and emotions brought change to these composers, and the ways in which they embodied and resolved these feelings through music. Pianist Hwang Su-yeon conveys the message that "it is not war, nor hearing loss, but the emotion of love itself that holds the powerful force to reveal an artist's inner self in the most intimate way."
