Jazz Pianist Park Jong-hoon Solo Concert: SING Vol.2 [Jeonju]

[Performance Introduction] S'ING carries the meaning of S (Start, 시작) ' (pause) ING (in progress). Throughout our lives, we encounter countless new beginnings, and at times we pause to reflect on the time and people we've left behind, before continuing with our individual journeys. S'ING is a performance that has recorded the emotions and stories we feel within this flow of life through music. Three years have passed since the first S'ING, and life has continued on. During that time, new songs and stories have accumulated. S'ING Vol.2 centers on Park Jong-hoon's original compositions created during this period, featuring a jazz trio of pianist Park Jong-hoon, bassist Seo Kyou-sung, and drummer Shim Jun-beom performing once again to "sing of life." From the excitement and anxiety felt before a new beginning, to the feelings we come to understand belatedly while looking back on people from our past, to the concerns of young adults constantly striving to prove something—each song contains scenes that originate from actual life rather than grand narratives. And these stories are not completed with predetermined answers. Even the same song transforms based on that day's breath and emotion. Within the improvisation of jazz, the three musicians respond to each other's sounds and create new music in each moment. We live singing the songs of our own lives.
