[Performance Introduction] Kim Jong-hyun Fifth Grid is a lyrical quintet project designed by jazz drummer Kim Jong-hyun. Built upon clear structure and profound emotion, the tension that accumulates, and finally reaching that climactic moment— all of this music belongs not only to the performers but is a journey that the stage and audience complete together, breathing as one. International competition first prize winner, tours in Germany, Turkey, Romania, and China, and participation in Korean Popular Music Award-winning works. Kim Jong-hyun has proven across countless stages that "drummers create narratives beyond rhythm." This project brings together bassist Choi Eun-chang, who leads both the Korean jazz scene and educational settings, pianist Park Min-sun, who has built his own lyricism through New York and Berkeley, saxophonist Kim Ki-beom, who has moved beyond rising star status into the center, and guitarist Lee Won-tae, honed in the Amsterdam jazz scene. The music of these five artists, each having walked different paths, converges toward a single direction on this stage. From tension to liberation— a moving 100-minute climax!
