Transcendence (楚越)" Pianist Lee Jung Eun Presents the Sixth Recital of the "Beethoven gave his utmost sincerity to every piece, whether in small compositions or grand masterworks. In particular, I regard the 'Hammerklavier' as a record of transcendence that surpasses human limits. I wish to present Beethoven's transcendent energy as it truly is on this stage." Pianist Lee Jung Eun announced these thoughts as she prepares to hold the sixth recital of the on September 12th (Sunday) at 8 PM in the Lotte Concert Hall at the Seoul Arts Center. Beginning with her first series at the Seoul Arts Center's Recital Hall in 2023, pianist Lee Jung Eun continues her journey toward completing all of Beethoven's piano sonatas. For this sixth series, she has added the subtitle "Transcendence (楚越)." By arranging three pieces representing modest wit alongside the late masterwork "Hammerklavier," considered the pinnacle of Beethoven's piano sonatas, she aims to convey the true value of Beethoven's music—works completed beyond human limits even in extreme circumstances. Pianist Lee Jung Eun has also committed to portraying moments of transcendence through her performance. As pianist Lee Jung Eun approaches her eighth and final series, she shares that the stages she has built over time are gradually forming into a single story.
