[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
Violinist Son Moeun, based in Paris, France, made history in 2024 by becoming the first Korean to win the Performer's Award at the France La Défense Jazz Concours.
Her victory at France's most prestigious jazz competition marks the first Korean artist award in 25 years since jazz vocalist Na Yunseon received a special jury prize, leaving a distinct impression of her unique musicality and artistry.
Having consistently garnered attention in the European jazz scene, she has been performing under a new band name since 2025, replacing the title and welcoming new members. The MOEUN band's first album and second full-length record, "Murmures d'après," is scheduled for release on September 18 this year. The album, which translates to "Whispers After" in Korean, captures Son Moeun's signature lyricism and elegance while presenting her diverse stories through a more accessible approach reminiscent of pop music.
