# Plot
Upon hearing news that Heungbu has become wealthy, Nolbu—who had been ailing with jealousy—visits his brother to learn how he became rich. Driven by greed to become wealthy himself, Nolbu breaks the leg of a living swallow, treats it, and the following spring, receives a gourd seed as a gift from the swallow returning from the south. Excited, he plants the gourd. This time, even more gourds grow than Heungbu's, but what pours out from the gourds are all sorts of demons and strange people. Nolbu loses all his wealth to them and faces ruin. When his very life hangs in the balance, Heungbu and his wife, hearing news of their brother, plead with a general who emerges from the sixth and final gourd to spare Nolbu's life.....
Will the greedy Nolbu manage to survive?
