About

[Performance Introduction] - a monthly musical performance series being promoted as a specialized support project by the Cultural Center in 2026. The July performance is a local musical of our district titled "North Gu Story - Remember 1919," which depicts the independence movement at Gupo Market. Based on the historical background of the March 1st Independence Movement at Busan's Gupo Market, the story follows a young man who was unable to participate in the independence movement at the time and left to study in Japan. Now, as an elderly man, he returns to a noodle restaurant at Gupo Market and reunites with the family of an old friend. The story of two men unfolds: one man who had to leave, and one man who had to stay.
