Ob/scene Festival, Mountain Range: Mountain Range

[PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION] Mountain Range presents a performance in which three saxophones gradually lose their distinction from one another. Sounds converge, expand, fold inward, and progressively approach a material state that occupies body and space rather than constituting music in the traditional sense. What is heard seems to have neither a starting point nor a destination, existing only through vibration, density, and duration. Somewhere between landscape and organism, the sound of Mountain Range possesses a peculiar autonomy. The act of listening begins to feel like a process of unveiling a world that already exists. A world that lies alongside us yet shows no interest in being understood.
