Park Chan-sik Violin Recital: Reframe

[Performance Introduction] "Reframe" means to view a familiar subject from a new perspective and reconstruct it. This performance is composed of works by two composers who have newly interpreted existing works and culture through their respective contemporary perspectives and musical languages. Piazzola divided the historical flow of tango that he observed throughout his lifetime into four scenes. He reconstructed the process through his own perspective, showing how tango, which began as a popular and secular culture, evolved over time to establish itself as an art music form. Rosenblatt approached the opera "Carmen" and its embedded gypsy musical elements from the perspective of jazz and contemporary music, creating a new concert piece.
