On Saturday, September 12th at 4 PM, cellist Ettore Pagano will perform an unaccompanied recital at Geoam Art Hall.
Ettore Pagano, who will captivate Korean audiences with works by Bach, Ligeti, and others, garnered worldwide attention after winning the cello division of the 2026 Queen Elizabeth Competition.
This performance will also feature the renowned instrument by Matteo Gofriller, specially awarded to the competition winner—the legendary 'Gofriller Casals' (crafted in 1773).
The 'Gofriller Casals' was created by Matteo Gofriller, a master instrument maker of 17th-18th century Venetian craftsmanship, and has earned worldwide renown for its deep, resonant bass tones and rich timbre reminiscent of the human voice.
Instruments made by Gofriller are regarded as among those with the highest historical value.
