The by concert planning company Jazz Bridge Company presents the perfect jazz to help you remember your precious moments in even more beautiful and meaningful ways. In autumn, commonly known as the season of reading and jazz, we wish to provide an opportunity to share deeply personal moments of contemplation and meditation 'together with jazz.' In September, which opens the door to autumn, the Remember Jazz Series introduces a young composer and pianist whose work resonates well with the theme of 'memory' that lies at the heart of this series. Pianist Na Do-yoon, born in 2001 and currently 25 years old, is known to jazz fans as a member of Forestet. Last year, she released her first full-length album , which she personally produced. Though it was her debut work released at the young age of 24, her prowess as a composer, the flowing narrative of her own story as a pianist, and her sophisticated use of space among ensemble members left a striking impression. At times, one can sense the lyricism of ECM records, and at other times, she delivers a modern and contemporary touch reminiscent of Brad Mehldau. Her solo performances throughout the album—whether in the introductory melodies or mid-performance solos—cut through all other sounds and captivate the heart. The Remember Jazz Series aims to provide young musicians who have had few opportunities to perform up close with a chance to share their more honest and sincere stories. This special occasion to meet her, a pianist I have always felt possesses truly exceptional potential among many young pianists, offers a uniquely intimate 'jazz experience' that only the charm of a small salon concert can provide. As we listen to her music, we hope this becomes an opportunity for all of us to reflect on ourselves with warmer eyes, to breathe more slowly, and ultimately to find solace within ourselves.
