As autumn draws to a close, the final chamber music program prepared for this year resonates. Beginning with composer Jun-hee Im's "Dancing Sanjo 3" for piano, violin, and gayageum, the program continues with composer Donghoon Shin's "My Shadow" featuring clarinet, two violins, cello, and piano, and composer Isang Yun's "Nore" for cello and piano. These works, evoking nostalgia for Ars Nova, which the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra once devoted great effort to, pose the question of what is Korean from various angles. The performance concludes with Johannes Brahms' Trio for clarinet, cello, and piano. Brahms, who had a special affinity for the emotion of loneliness throughout his life, offers a work that feels infinitely melancholic yet conveys unwavering resilience to move forward—a piece that will make autumn 2026 particularly memorable.
