[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
On June 25, 2024, Norman Shetler, a world-renowned pianist and master of German Lied accompaniment, passed away at the age of 93.
He gained great respect through his profound interpretations and refined musicality while collaborating with world-class vocalists such as Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Peter Schreier.
He also continued the tradition of German Lieder by teaching the next generation at the Vienna University of Music and Mozarteum.
He also worked as a puppet maker and puppet theater artist, creating a unique artistic world.
This concert is a tribute performance organized by his student tenor Jo Yun-hwan and pianist Park Ji-hye to honor Norman Shetler's art and music.
Through the songs and music he loved, we wish to remember together his warm artistic spirit and profound musical legacy.
