The 20th Gongju Civic Choir Regular Concert: Baroque Two Masters Meet: Bach and Handel

[PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION] Gongju Civic Chorus 20th Regular Concert 〈A Historic Meeting of Two Baroque Masters: Bach and Händel〉 Two great masters born in 1685—Johann Sebastian Bach (J.S. Bach) and Georg Friedrich Händel (G.F. Händel)—left behind the most brilliant legacy in Western music history. These two musical giants, who never met during their lifetimes, will achieve a historic musical encounter on the stage of the Gongju Civic Chorus. This 20th regular concert presents two peaks that define the Baroque era: 〈Dixit Dominus〉, which showcases young Händel's passionate and explosive spirit, and 〈Magnificat〉, which encapsulates Bach's mature spirituality and festive joy, in a single performance.
