UNESCO City of Music Exchange Concert, Duo Maliki Concert [Daegu]

[ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE] Movement, change, curiosity, and togetherness. These four keywords best describe the music of Duo Maliki. Vocalist Chiara Raimondi and guitarist Marcus Korda create their own unique sound based on the freedom of jazz sensibilities and the depth of European folk music. Their music, which blends jazz harmonies, Balkan melodies, Latin rhythms, and Italian lyrics, naturally connects diverse cultures and traditions while unveiling a new musical landscape. Having performed across the globe in countries including Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Chile, Colombia, and Turkey, Maliki continuously draws new inspiration through collaborations and travels with musicians from various cultural backgrounds. Their music, infused with different cultures and experiences, transcends borders to communicate with audiences and evolves into new stories with each moment. Within the diverse melodies where jazz and European folk music harmonize, Maliki presents music that connects everyone across borders and genres.
