About

[Performance Overview] A Journey Beyond Memory Toward Peace is not simply a recitation of historical facts. Seventy years ago, the memory of tremendous violence witnessed by a nine-year-old girl comes to us as a confession from an eighty-year-old. This performance goes beyond illuminating one individual's pain; by collectively 'remembering' that suffering, it seeks to plant in the audience's hearts the 'imperative of peace'—that such tragedies must never be repeated. The accumulated emotions of all those years that words could not express are carried forth on the breath of the accordion. [Synopsis] When a Mother's Time Becomes Music ㅇ A Witness to the Passage of Time: A child who, at nine years old, was caught in the whirlwind of April 3rd without understanding, has now become an elderly person with white hair. ㅇ A Song Unheard: A story buried deep in the heart for decades, one that could never be released, now carefully flows through accordion melodies. ㅇ Reconciliation and Healing: The protagonist calmly reflects on her mother's life, speaking to how this history of hardship is not merely a 'past event,' but the roots of 'peace' that we must cherish today.
