Yeongdo Culture and Arts Center Wednesday Regular Performance onStage, Voy a Buena: Walking Buenos Aires with Tango [Busan]

[Performance Introduction] This October's Wednesday Regular onStage performance conveys warm comfort and messages of happiness to audiences by infusing tango music with the diverse emotions we experience in life, as well as inspiration drawn from nature and art. The performance expresses human emotions in all their richness—happiness, love, sorrow, loneliness, loss, and mixed feelings—inspired by everyday life and nature, and art such as forests and seas, the universe and stars, books and music, and paintings, through tango melodies. Through this, we aim to express various moments of life through music, together with the deep and delicate sensibility that tango possesses. Additionally, familiar Korean songs have been arranged in tango style so that audiences can experience familiar music from a fresh perspective. By feeling both the emotion inherent in Korean music and the unique tones of tango, we convey the shared sensibility and beauty that both music genres possess. Through diverse arrangements including duos, quartets, and sextets, we showcase the broad musical appeal of tango. We will perform various genres within tango—including tango, milonga, and waltz—alongside both originally composed and arranged pieces and songs familiar to the general public. Encompassing both dancing tango and tango for appreciation, we plan to introduce the diverse aspects and artistic depth of tango music.
