The ninth story in the "By My Side" Classical Series features two artists who captured the songs of their homeland through music: Schubert and Dvořák. Schubert performed in small rooms filled with friends rather than on grand stages. An evening where one piano and a single voice were enough. Dvořák began as a village musician, but even from across the sea in New York, he never let go of the Bohemian fields. Though born in different eras and countries, both men transformed the melodies closest to home into music heard by the world.
