[Performance Introduction]
This performance was planned to match Asan City's rising status as a 'city great for raising children,' having recorded the highest birth rate in South Chungcheong Province as of 2024. The event aims to foster a birth and childcare-friendly atmosphere in the region and provide expectant mothers with high-quality cultural experiences.
The program has been carefully composed to allow expectant mothers and their families to find emotional stability through classical music and develop deep communication with their unborn children.
Alongside the refined performances of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, one of Korea's top orchestras, professional musicians actively performing both domestically and internationally—including mezzo-soprano Bang Shin-je with her compelling voice and sensible pianist Kim Min-hwan—will deliver moving melodies.
In particular, this concert goes beyond simply listening to a performance by adding educational value.
Neuroscientist Cho Yong-sang, an authority in cognitive science, will participate as a lecturer and explore the theme of 'Prenatal Education, Music, and Neuroscience' in an engaging manner, discussing the relationship between children's brain development and music while providing prospective parents with practical information.
