2. Work Characteristics and Plot
Work Characteristics
Theater Company Onnuri's musical "Pig Wind" is a participatory musical featuring audience involvement.
The performance begins with the audience singing and moving together. An apple is cut in half, placed on a plate, and everyone chants a magic spell together "Swoosh~." This spell accompanies the performance when the wolf blows down the pig brothers' houses and when the pigs defeat the wolf.
Following the spell, the audience blows the "pig wind" throughout the performance. When the carelessly built houses of the first and second brothers are blown away, the audience punishes them. When the third brother's sturdy brick house, built methodically and carefully, appears, the audience anxiously blows the pig wind, worried it might be damaged.
Plot
Three mischievous pig brothers embark on a journey into a fairy tale world with Uncle Owl as their guide. They become pigs in this magical realm. Ignoring Uncle Owl's warning to beware of the wolf, each brother goes his own way. Meanwhile, a wolf, hearing about the pigs, sets out to catch them. The oldest brother, who loves toys, builds a hastily constructed straw house. The second brother, focusing only on decoration, builds a wooden house. The clever third brother builds a sturdy brick house. The wolf blows down the first and second pig brothers' houses. Now only the third brother's house remains. The three brothers decide to combine their abilities to defeat the wolf....
